The Kind Resort Canine Family

Why We Cannot Allow Guest Pets

While we understand the love and connection you share with your pets, The Kind Resort has chosen not to allow guests to bring their pets. This decision was not made lightly, and it comes from a place of compassion for all animals, including those who have found their forever home with us. Our adopted dogs—Lucky, Whitey, Mama Dog—have shown us the purest form of happiness as they run along the beach, play in the sand, and swim freely in the ocean. Watching them enjoy the wide-open spaces and the natural beauty of the resort reminds us why we cannot take this joy away from them. Their lives are full of freedom and adventure, something they likely never experienced before finding their home here. As much as we wish we could bring them into a more controlled environment or even indoor, we see how much they thrive in the natural surroundings. They have made The Kind Resort their home, and it is our responsibility to preserve this unique sanctuary for them. Allowing additional pets would disrupt the balance we have created, not only for our resident dogs but also for the peaceful environment we strive to provide for our guests.

A Commitment to Kindness

At The Kind Resort, our philosophy is built on kindness—toward people, animals, and the planet. This is why we are a 100% plant-based resort. Lucky, Whitey, Mama Dog have become ambassadors of our mission, teaching us the value of care, compassion, and second chances. We hope our guests understand that the policy is not about exclusion but about creating a loving and sustainable environment where animals like Lucky, Whitey, and Mama Dog can live their best lives. It is also a reflection of our belief that animals deserve not just safety and shelter but also freedom to roam, play, and experience joy in their own unique way.

Meet Lucky

During the construction of The Kind Resort, a small stray puppy, later named Lucky, wandered onto the property. She was malnourished, sick and barely holding on. The construction team quickly took her under their care, feeding her and nursing her back to health. Against all odds, Lucky grew into a strong and vibrant dog. Today, she runs happily around the resort and is a proud and loved member of our team.

Meet Whitey

Whitey’s story began when she appeared at The Kind Resort as a young stray, thin and alone, With nowhere to go and no one to care for her, she was taken by the same compassionate team who gave Lucky a chance. Whitey quickly found her place at The Kind Resort, where she thrives as a loyal companion to our staff and guests.

Meet Mama Dog

Mama Dog’s journey to The Kind Resort is one of resilience and strength. She arrived heavily pregnant, looking for a safe place to give birth, she was found by our founder at the reception area of the resort where she chose to give birth. Despite her difficult circumstances, Mama Dog showed incredible love and devotion to her puppies. Recognizing her need of care, we adopted her and as the owner of the resort loves dogs ended up adopting all her seven balls of sunshine.
