Our Commitment to Sustainability

At The Kind Resort

we are committed to creating a sustainable environment that reflects our respect for the planet. From energy conservation to reducing plastic waste, here’s how we’re making a difference

Solar Energy and Our Goals

  • Currently, 20% of our energy comes from solar power, generated through an off-grid system.
  •
  • We are working toward a bold ambitious goal of becoming a fully solar-powered resort by 2027. This effort is part of our broader mission to minimize our reliance on non-renewable energy sources and lead the way in sustainable tourism.

Water Conservation

Water is one of our planet’s most precious resources, and conserving it is a priority at The Kind Resort.

We encourage guests to:

  • Turn off taps when not in use.
  • Take shorter showers to reduce water consumption.
  • Reuse towels and linens during your stay.

Eliminating Single-Use Plastics:

  • In an effort to reduce plastic waste, we have eliminated single-use plastic water bottles from our rooms.
  • Instead, we provide fresh, clean drinking water in refillable glass containers placed in the mini refrigerator of each room.
  • These glass containers are part of our sustainability initiative and are not for take-home use.

Energy-Conserving Mini Refrigerators

Each room is equipped with a compact mini refrigerator, designed to conserve electricity while still providing convenience to our guests.

The Kind Resort: Sustainability & Responsible Travel

Located in the beautiful coastal town of Lobo, Batangas, The Kind Resort embraces sustainability while offering a serene beachfront escape. As tourism grows in the area, BATELEC 2 continues to improve and upgrade its services. However, power fluctuations and occasional brownouts may still occur.

In line with our commitment to eco-conscious living, The Kind Resort is equipped with backup solar panels with battery storage. During brownouts, our solar power keeps the resort running except for air conditioning. To ensure guest comfort, electric fans are provided in each villa.

Additionally, to conserve energy and support the local grid, we do not offer water heaters in the bathrooms. We kindly encourage guests to be mindful of electricity use during their stay.

Important Notice: The Kind Resort is not liable for any brownouts and, as part of our policy, we do not offer refunds or compensation for power interruptions caused by the local electric provider.

We appreciate your understanding and support in making sustainable travel possible. Thank you for choosing Beach & Wellness at The Kind Resort!
